Abstract |
To evaluate the non-attainment of total suspended particulate (TSP) standards in the Clark-Mohave-Yuma (Las Vegas) and Northwest Nevade Intrastate (Reno) Air Quality Control Regions (AQCR's), six Task Reports were prepared. The Task A, B, and C Reports identified and quantified the major contributing sources. Strategies to control these sources were presented in the Task D/E Reports. A weighing factor was developed in Task F to account for the disparity between mineral emissions and mineral loadings on high-volume sampler filters. The control strategies were then evaluated using the Hanna-Gifford diffusion model. Results showed that the TSP standards can be met in the Reno AQCR with adoption of the proposed street cleaning program, while the TSP standards will be exceeded in the Las Vegas AQCR even with adoption of the proposed strategies. |
