Abstract |
The objective of this research was to develop a laboratory extraction method for solid wastes that simulates concentrations of inorganic and organic constituents in leachates that result from co-disposing industrial wastes with municipal wastes in landfills (co-disposal in a landfill containing a 95:5 ratio of municipal to industrial waste, respectively). The intent was to produce a scientific rationale and a data base from which an extraction method can be selected to simulate leaching of solid wastes co-disposed with municipal wastes. |
