The general objective of the work described here is theevaluation and quantification of the methodology being developed and used for the Regional Air Pollution Study (RAPS) emissions inventory. Improved emission methodologies are one of the RAPS objectives. However, they are essential to the realization of one of the other principal objectives--namely, the evaluation of mathematical air quality simulation models. The output of any such simulation model is only as good as the input emissions data supplied to it. The thrust of this work is to evaluate the individual emissions models and relate them to their application to air quality models. |
