Abstract | The report contains information culled from innumerable field studies made in all parts of the country. Conclusions stated in the text represent the valid opinions of men long skilled in the field of sanitary engineering. The report should serve as a valuable guide for national, State, and local planning in the fight against disease caused by unsafe supplies of water and milk. It represents the first evaluation of our sanitary facilities on a national scale by actual field investigations. Concerted action in satisfying the needs outlined in the report should take us a long way toward providing a safe environment in which everyone may live. |
