Story of a Sioux family that has played a big part in the history of the tribe. The first Crow Dog was a comrade of Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse, and a leading participant in the Ghost Dance of 1889. His great-grandson, Leonard Crow Dog, was the American Indian Movement's spiritual leader at the second Wounded Knee. He was also a key figure in the notorious events at the Pine Ridge Reservation. |
