Abstract |
This report presents and analyzes the results of a collaborative test of EPA Method 5-Determination of Particulate Emissions from Stationary Sources. The test was conducted by four participating laboratories at a Portland cement plant under simulated 'real world' Method 5 testing conditions. This report describes the collaborative test, examines problems encountered in the use of Method 5, estimates the between-laboratory and within-laboratory precision of Method 5, ascribes precision variability to its sources, and evaluates the necessity of sampling restrictions required for compliance testing. |
