Abstract | On the evenings of 5 May, 10 May, 13 June and 11 July, 1983, truckmounted ULV equipment was used to apply fenthion at a rate of 11 g/ha to control adult salt marsh mosquitoes at two sites. Meterological conditions at the time of spray, spray droplet density, and droplet VMD were monitored. Mortality of caged Aedes taeniorhynchus and Culex quinquefasciatus was measured to evaluate spray effectiveness. When appropriate conditions prevailed, 100% mortality was achieved among caged mosquitoes placed up to 150 m from the spray source. |
