Abstract | In the United States, the debate concerning the relationship between acidic deposition and acidification, and acidification and fish population responses, has focused on the Adirondack region of New York State. The objectives of the study have been to summarize and critique all available data on Adirondack lakes. Using the existing data base, questions regarding the acidity status of Adirondack lakes and potential effects of acidification on fish are addressed. |
