Abstract |
The paper reports the results of a project to develop a methodology for incorporating uncertainty analysis as an integral part of the water quality modeling process. The model used for demonstrating this methodology is the EPA-supported water quality model QUAL2E. The QUAL2E model was chosen for this application because it is a general purpose computer code that is widely used by state regulatory agencies in waste load allocation and other environmental planning activities. The resulting uncertainty model is named QUAL2E-UNCAS. |
