Contents Notes | For amateurs and scientists alike, this is the definitive book on plants found in the coastal marine environment. Almost all the seed-bearing plants likely to be encountered along the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico seaboards are included: 949 species of wildflowers, trees, shrubs, grasses, rushes, and sedges. Only a few species of rare occurrence are omitted. For each of the 588 color-illustrated descriptions, as well as the 361 related species, the photographs and descriptions are sufficient for accurate identification. A 160-page color section contains almost 600 photographs taken by the authors and designed for maximum clarity of identification. |
