"The primary conclusion of this work is that organic compounds are emitted to the atmosphere during evaporation. The rate of release is based on the type of evaporation system used: solar ponds, thermal (pan) evaporators, spray ponds, or cooling towers; the temperature (thermal) driving force used; the molecular weight and volatility of the substances; and the concentration of each component in solution following wastewater pretreatment." |
