Abstract
This environmental impact statement provides information that assisted EPA and the public in making the decision to approve the Reeder Reservoir element of the Rogue Valley Council of Governments' Water Management Plan. The document identifies problems associated with the removal of accumulated debris and sediment that flows into the reservoir, specifically with sluicing as a method of removal by the City of Ashland, Oregon. A major portion of the statement deals with the impacts of viable alternatives to sluicing. Details on the topography, geology, soils, climate and hydrology of the Ashland watershed and the Bear Creek Basin in Southwestern Oregon are given.
