Abstract
In this paper the authors have endeavored to estimate the effect of small changes of independent climatic variables on the global energy budget. In providing a discussion of these changes, they have approached the problem from an historical perspective. They have also investigated the components of these changing variables as to whether or not their change is due to natural causes or to man-related activities. The discussion centers on particulates in the atmosphere, both natural and man made, but solar radiation, carbon dioxide, and heat exchange processes are also considered. At the end of the paper they arrive at conclusions as to the importance of climatic change and what man can do to better define the problems related to the variables that affect the energy budget.
