Abstract | The article discusses the importance of workers becoming well informed concerning the hazards involved in the use of pesticides if these chemicals are to be used safely. Information on the pesticide if these chemicals are to be used safely. Information on the pesticide label represents the results of research and legislation in the interest of safety to the user and the general public. However, it is the individual user who must take personal responsibility to read the label and follow the directions. If this is not done, some hazards may exist, accidents and illnesses may occur, and there may be excessive contamination of the environment. |
