Abstract
The report is a state-of-the-art review of the availability and application of technology for the control of hydrocarbon emissions to the atmosphere from facilities for the production, refining, and marketing of liquid petroleum fuels. The review includes: (1) identification of major hydrocarbon emission sources within the petroleum industry and the quantity of such source emissions, (2) review of existing hydrocarbon emission control technology and the extent of its application by the petroleum industry, and (3) identification of hydrocarbon emission sources within the petroleum industry for which control techniques are neither available nor widely applied.
