This AML Site Discovery Process document was developed to provide a process for conducting initial evaluations to discover potential AML sites that could be potential sources of contamination which may affect human health, the environment, and water quality in and around communities that are experiencing significant population grow1h, and areas that have current or planned development. It is intended to be used to discover AML sites that are not yet being addressed by state, federal or local agencies; and primarily for use by DTSC and other environmental regulators concerned with the release of AML site contaminants to the environment.
