| Abstract |
This document is meant to bring the reader up to date on the current status of landfill capacity and offers estimates on what capacity will remain in the year 2000 relative to the amount of trash we will be generating. Some regions and states are in a more serious situation than others but the big variable that could help is the level of waste reduction and recycling which could take place between now and then. Different scenarios are offered for different rates of resource recovery and recycling. |
