Abstract
The report helps establish guidelines to assist municipalities, States, and Federal agencies in developing requirements for the pretreatment of wastewaters which are discharged to publicly owned treatment works. The Guidelines also explain the relationship between pretreatment and the effluent limitations for a publicly owned treatment works.
