Abstract | Gas chromatographic analyses of three randomly selected lots of POLYQUART (trademark) H, conducted according to the procedures described by Birkel, et al, (Food and Drug Administration) place 1, 4-dioxane content of this product at 1.5 to 2.0% (15,000-20,000 ppm). Applicability of this method, developed for analysis of 1, 4-dioxane in poly (oxyethylene) esters, to products such as polyalkoxylated polyamines has not yet bee established. We are presently investigating the validity of the method for such products. Samples have also been submitted to an independent testing laboratory for analyses. |
