Abstract
Summarizes most current information available regarding the discharge of wastewater by the wood preserving industry containing priority and nonpriority pollutants included on the 1987 Industrial Technology Division List of Analytes. Discusses the Agency's authority for conducting this study and the current regulatory status of the wood preserving industry. Presents estimates of industry raw waste pollutant loads based on information from the sampling episodes and control and treatment technologies that may be applicable to this industry.
