Abstract
In determining the waste assimilative capacity of streams within the Willamette Basin, Oregon, one of the primary considerations was determination of the deoxygenation coefficients (ksub1) for critical locations within the basin. During the summer of 1961 river samples were collected and analyzed for the determination of ksub1. Nine sampling stations were selected within the basin, seven on the main stem Willamette and two on tributary streams. These stations were located from river mile 7, near the mouth, to river mile 178 at Eugene.
