| Contents Notes | This briefing package outlines a community based environmental protection project sponsored by EPA's Region 10, the Office of Research and Development and the Office of Information and Resource Management. The objective of the project is to graphically depict, as an operating system, the many stream corridor and wetland restoration activities occurring in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. The operating system is organized around the various stages of work considered essential to ecosystem management. The system will be communicated as a web page on the internet. The web page will provide to communities in the Willamette Valley descriptive information about the implementation of restoration practices on the ground, rationale for the design and placement, and the data being collected and analyzed to improve the effectiveness of restoration. |
