Abstract
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) collects and maintains information about the generation, management, and final disposition of the nation's hazardous waste regulated by the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). The Report presents information for 1987. Data from a total of 18,660 RCRA hazardous waste sites are included in the report. Of these, 17,677 were generators and 3,308 were treatment, storage or disposal facilities. Most sites that are treatment, storage or disposal facilities are also classified as generators.
