The objectives of the study were to: (1) Compile existing data on water quality and land management practices affecting water quality in the Flathead drainage; (2) evaluate methodologies employed in obtaining water quality data in this region, and examine methodologies presently utilized in land management activities to prevent deleterious effects to water quality; (3) develop proposed methodologies for assessment of important ecological parameters toward prevention and abatement of water quality problems in the drainage, and suggest methods to prevent continued degradation of water quality from present land use activities.
