Abstract
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently completed a review of the national environmental benefits of the Clean Water Act's secondary treatment requirements. The findings of this review demonstrate that significant progress has been made in improving water quality and other environmental resources through the secondary (and advanced) treatment of municipal wastewater.
