Abstract |
An assessment was made of the technical and economic feasibility of using aquaculture systems for municipal wastewater. Current research and development efforts are concentrated on aquatic plant systems, particularly water hyacinths, which are routinely used in municipal wastewater treatment. Fish, invertebrates, and integrated systems are in the exploratory or development stage and as such are not ready for routine use. |
