The report was prepared for consideration of actions needed to preserve the high quality of waters in the Lake Superior Basin, and to improve presently degraded waters. The report is based on studies and investigations by the Federal Water Pollution Control Administration. All data presented in this report are for the United States portion of the Lake Superior basin, unless otherwise noted.
