| Abstract |
The atlas is based upon information in, and is intended as a supplement to, the Water Pollution Surveillance System Summary Compilation of Data, 1963 to 1965. It is designed as a summary and graphical aid to the interpretation of individual numerical values presented in this and earlier compilations. It includes the most useful statistic which describes water quality in streams and other surface waters which is the mean concentration. |
