Abstract
This publication reports on the execution of the Long Island Sound Studys action plan to reduce pollution, and protect and restore coastal habitat. The activities undertaken in 2007 and 2008 by LISS partners to achieve these goals upgrading sewage treatment plants, reducing polluted stormwater runoff, fostering watershed management, restoring degraded habitats, preserving open space, conducting monitoring and research programs, and educating and involving the publicare reported here.
