| Abstract |
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's ground-water research programs are described. The programs focus on protection of ground-water resources by eliminating or controlling sources of contamination; understanding and predicting the movement and attenuation of contaminants in the subsurface; monitoring for contamination; restoring polluted aquifers; and ensuring that research findings are conveyed to public officials, field managers, and the scientific community. |
