| Abstract | The Handbook contains the guidance prepared by EPA to assist States in implementing the revised Water Quality Standards Regulation (48 F.R. 51400, November 8, 1983). Changes in the Handbook may be made from time to time reflecting State/EPA experience in implementing the revised Regulation. The Handbook is organized to provide a general description of the overall standards setting process followed by information on general program administrative policies and procedures, and then a description of the analyses used in determining appropriate uses and criteria. |
