In a meeting on February 27, 1980, between USEPA and Michigan DNR personnel concerning the Velsicol Chemical Corporation, St. Louis plant site, the National Enforcement Investigations Center (NEIC) was requested by EPA Region V, Enforcement Division to conduct a limited sampling survey of the Pine River. Objectives of this survey were to: ¨ Document the contamination contributed to the Pine River by the Velsicol Chemical Corporation; ¨ Determine additional information needed to assess remedial action for the contaminated Pine River. |
