Abstract
The report summarizes the findings associated with a Demonstration of the Geosafe Corporation (Geosafe) In Situ Vitrification (ISV) Process. The Geosafe ISV technology was evaluated under the EPA Superfund Innovative Technology Evaluation (SITE) Program in conjunction with remediation activities associated with an EPA Region V remocal action. The technology was assessed regarding its ability to treat pesticides (specifically chlordane, dieldrin, and 4,4'-DDT) and mercury to below Region V mandated limits. It was evaluated against the nine criteria for decision-making in the Superfund Feasilibity Study process.
