| Abstract | The report provides useful tools for estimating particulate removal by venturi scrubbers and electrostatic precipitators. Detailed descriptions are given for programs to predict the penetration (one minus efficiency) for each device. These programs are written specifically for the Texas Instruments SR-52 programmable calculator. Each program includes a general description of the mathematical model on which the program is based and the formulas and numerical techniques used in adapting the model to the SR-52. Numerical examples, program listing, and user instructions are included. |
