Abstract
This report discusses the results of a test program conducted at EPA's Motor Vehicle Emission Laboratory to investigate the effect of gasoline volatility, as measured by Reid Vapor Pressure (RVP), on evaporative hydrocarbon (HC) emissions. The program consisted of a series of short test sequences designed to quantify these effects. The principal test variables were the vehicle evaporative standard, test fuel, test driving cycles, and prep cycles.
