Abstract
This decision document presents the selected interim remedial action for the Boomsnub/Airco Superfund Site (the Site), located north of Vancouver in Hazel Dell, Washington. The selected remedy is to continue operation and maintenance of the existing ground-water for Clark County. The remedy includes: operation and maintenance (O & M) of the existing extraction/treatment system; installation of additional monitoring wells near the leading edge of the plume to determine the need for more extraction wells, and connection of additional wells to the extraction network, if necessary; upgrading some extraction wells and vaults as necessary to prevent infiltration of water during storm events; and acquisition or construction of office and storage space for the extraction/treatment and telemetry systems, new and used resin, as well as for tools, parts and equipment needed for O & M of the system.
