| Abstract | The document is a program of the activities of the 4th National Conference on Water Quality Criteria and Standards for the 21st Century which was held September 13-15, 1994 in Arlington, Virginia. The purpose of the Conference was to discuss how water quality criteria and standards can be used in a holistic approach to protect watersheds, and to seek consensus on steps for further development and implementation of tools and programs to protect human health and the environment. Program sessions included New Ways to Evaluate Risk, Addressing Ecological Integrity, Addressing Risk at the Watershed Level, Comprehensive Environmental Programs of the Future, Managing Risk, a Summary Report, and a Stakeholder Observation. |
