Contents Notes
Used simulated rainfall conditions to conduct controlled measurements of metals (including copper) in parking lot runoff. Found copper, lead, and zinc primarily in the dissolved form. Street sweeping did not reduce metals concentrations in runoff. Copper concentrations did not differ between high-use and low-use parking lot areas, but did increase with time between simulated rainfall events. All water samples were toxic to aquatic indicator species.
