This document contains emission factors and process information for more than 200 air pollution source categories. These emission factors have been compiled from source test data, material balance studies, and engineering estimates, and they can be used judiciously in making emission estimations for various purposes. When specific source test data are available, they should be preferred over the generalized factors presented in this document. This supplement to AP-42 addresses pollutant-generating activity from bituminous and sub bituminous coal combustion; fuel oil combustion; wood waste combustion in boilers; lignite combustion; municipal solid waste landfills; waferboard/oriented strand manufacturing; particleboard manufacturing; medium density fiberboard manufacturing; wood preserving; western surface coal mines; unpaved roads.
