| Abstract |
The Long-Range Research Agenda is prepared in response to the Congressional requirement that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency submit an annual revision of a comprehensive five-year plan for environmental research, development and demonstration not later than two weeks after the President submits his annual budget to the Congress. The annual revision is required to convey the plans for no growth, moderate growth, and high growth budget projections and should include an explanation of the relationship to existing laws which authorize the environmental research, development, and demonstration. The budget projections contained in the report assume a 3% increase for the moderate growth scenario and a 6% increase for the high growth scenario. The budget projections are subject to change associated with new Agency priorities and the availability of funds. |
