Abstract
The study using labeled sulfur dioxide (Nikolayevskiy, et al., 1971) establishes that the susceptibility to injury of leaves by sulfur dioxide, in trees, flowers, lawn grasses and weeds, is directly proportional to the rate of absorption of the gas and formation of a lethal dose. The rate of absorption of sulfur dioxide in nonresistant species is 2-5 times and more than that of resistant ones.
