Abstract
An acute intraperitoneal toxicity study in rats with C-257 was conducted for the Celanese Corporation at Bio/dynamics, Inc., Mettlers Road, East Millstone, New Jersey 08873. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the acute toxicity of the test material when administered by intraperitoneal injection to rats; to determine the intraperitoneal LD50 of the material; and to determine whether neurologic effects could be produced with acute administration. At the request of Celanese Chemical Company, a skin sensitization test was conducted with a clear liquid identified as Trimethylolpropane Trimethacrylate SN-1497. The results of the skin sensitization test in albino guinea pigs indicate that Trimethylolpropane Trimethacrylate is not a sensitizer.
