Abstract
The Montgomery Township Housing Development (MTHD) site is located in Somerset County, New Jersey. The Rocky Hill Municipal Wellfield (RHMW) Superfund site is also covered by the remedial action because of its proximity to the MTHD and the similarity of the contaminants present. The 72-acre MTHD site is a development which includes 71 private homes, with an additional 6 homes affected by the contamination in the surrounding residential areas. The RHMW consists of a two-acre tract of land in the Borough of Rocky Hill, which supplies public water to the residents of Rocky Hill. The selected remedial action for this site includes: ground water pump and treatment using air stripping and reinjection of the treated water back into the aquifer.
