Abstract
To provide information on total and dissolved trace metals, Lake Huron waters were analyzed for iron, cadmium, copper, chromium, lead, nickel, zinc, manganese, mercury, arsenic, aluminum, silver, vanadium, and selenium concentrations. Median total, dissolved, and particulate concentrations in microgram/l for each metal are given. Compared to other regions of the lake in 1980, southern Lake Huron had the highest concentrations of iron and aluminum. It had the lowest concentrations of copper, chromium, lead, zinc, and perhaps nickel.
