Abstract
p-Toluidine is a probable human carcinogen, classified as weight-of-evidence Group C under the EPA Guidelines for Carcinogen Risk Assessment. Evidence on potential carcinogenicity from animal studies is 'Limited', and the evidence from human studies is 'No Data'. The potency factor (F) for p-toluidine is estimated to be 0.94 (mg/kg/day)-1, placing it in potency group 3 according to the CAG's methodology for evaluating potential carcinogens. (Potency calculations for p-toluidine are based on data for p-toluidine hydrochloride.) Combining the weight-of-evidence group and the potency group, p-toluidine is assigned a 'LOW' hazard ranking.
