Abstract

The study examined the wastewater treatment technologies employed, the quality of wastewater produced, the solid waste management practices utilized, and the potential hazardous nature of the solid waste generated at seven selected facilities. These facilities mine and mill ores primarily for one of the following metals: antimony, mercury, aluminum, vanadium (non-radioactive ore), tungsten, nickel, and titanium.
