Abstract
This Record of Decision (ROD) Amendment documents the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA's) selection of a modified remedy for the Caldwell Trucking Company site. It represents a modification of the remedy for contaminated soils selected in the initial ROD (September 1986) (PB87-190112) and subsequent Explanation of Significant Differences (February 1993) for the site. The modified remedy, developed as a result of a study undertaken by a group of potentially responsible parties, eliminates the need for construction of the on-site landfill while providing a similar degree of protection to human health and the environment.
