Abstract
The chemical research services department (CRS) has served Institute of Gas Technology (IGT) member companies and energy-related industries since 1952. Areas in which CRS is active include: Analytical chemistry services; Certified natural-gas standards program; Gas quality program; Chemical research program development; Analytical technology transfer. CRS facilities occupy 8000 square feet and include many of the latest developments in analytical instrumentation for chemical analysis and physical testing. Specific areas of expertise include classical analytical chemistry, standard fossil-fuel analysis, physical testing, and instrumental analysis.
