The manual was prepared largely for use by the writers and typists of technical reports in the Northwest Regional Water Pollution Control offices, although others may find it useful. The material is generally presented in two sections. The first chapter, 'Report Organization Guidelines,' is directed primarily to the report writers. The second chapter, 'Report typing Guidelines,' and the attached examples in the Appendix, are for use by report typists. Both the writer and the typist should be familiar with both sections to assist each other in attaining compatibility in report preparation efforts.
