Abstract |
The report presents a summary of the development, demonstration, and assessment of an economic model as an operational, analytical tool for abatement policy assessment. This economic model which was initiated as part of the Regional Air Pollution Analysis Program focused on the regional economies of the various Air Quality Control Regions. Thus it will be useful for assessment of control strategies at the regional level, where most of the implementation plans are prepared. There has been an increased focus in the model system toward the assessment of interregional and national economic effects. However, this system is still a regional economic system with limited capabilities to measure the interregional and national effects. |
